This Whisky Coffee includes a specifically selected blend of green beans, including our Direct trade Ugandan
Every cup connects right back to farmers in Uganda, where part of this blend is grown. Through our direct trade partnership, we work face to face with the people who grow it — no middlemen, no shortcuts.
It’s coffee that’s helping fund water tanks, send kids to school, and change lives on the ground.


The Process
Technique & Time
We start with high grade green coffee, including Ugandan beans sourced through our direct trade relationship, and pour it into a freshly emptied Thomson Manuka Smoke Whisky barrel.
Over the course of months, the beans rest in the sealed oak whisky barrel, slowly absorbing ambient moisture, aromatic oils, and residual whisky character left deep in the wood grain.
Temperature and humidity are monitored throughout to keep the ageing steady and controlled.
Once matured, the coffee is roasted to highlight the complex flavours developed in barrel, creating Big Whisky Vibes with layered notes of Oak and Dark Chocolate with a smooth Vanilla finish.

RECIPE
Makes 1 Litre
100g Whisky Coffee
500ml Cold Water
Vanilla Syrup and Ice
Brew Concentrate:
1. Coarsely grind coffee (like raw sugar)
2. Add water and coffee together in a glass vessel stir to incorporate.
A Cold pot or Plunger works well too.
3. Brew coffee in fridge Between 12-24 hours. Overnight for 15 hours is ideal.
4. Strain the coffee grounds out
5. Transfer into clean glass vessel and store concentrate in fridge for
up to two weeks
To serve:
Dilute coffee concentrate with 1:1 water ratio (still or sparkling)
Stir in vanilla syrup to taste, pour over ice. Enjoy!
