A coffee cup fit for a queen. We collaborated with Esther from Thea Ceramics to create a small mug designed to pair perfectly with our Peachy Queen coffee and we’re thrilled with how they turned out.
Each mug is handmade on Waiheke Island by Thea Ceramics. The clay is hand foraged and processed in their studio, using 100% wild Waiheke clay sourced from Te Wairoa Awe Hua Kura, on Ngāti Paoa whenua.
These mugs are wheel-thrown and finished in our bespoke Māwhero glaze, a rich, satin mid pink that feels as beautiful as it looks.
Each mug holds approximately 280ml and measures around 7cm tall by 8cm in diameter. As they are made from wild clay, you can expect unique wabi-sabi characteristics and natural imperfections that make every piece one of a kind.
Due to the nature of wild clay, there is variation in finish. Some mugs feature a creamy tone, others have darker blushes, and some display natural “birthmarks” where clay particles come through.
