Description

Pour Over Starter Kit + Purple Rain

$10 off the kit when you bundle it, and extra off if you're grabbing more than one pack of coffee.

Everything you need for pour over at home, paired with the coffee worth setting it up for.

This bundle gets you brewing in one go: the Hario V60 Craft Coffee Maker kit, plus a bag of Purple Rain as your first cup.

V60 Craft Coffee Maker Kit (Hario)

The classic starting point for pour over, and still one of the best. This boxed set gives you everything: a borosilicate glass 600mL server with a black handle, a plastic V60 dripper (built for 1 to 4 cups), 40 paper filters, and a 12g measuring spoon. No guessing what you need, it's all here.

Purple Rain

Blackberry co-ferment coffee. Tasting notes: blackberry compote, burnt sugar, black tea.

Strict hand sort, only perfectly ripe cherries make the cut. From there, they're sealed into tanks with fresh blackberries and wine yeast for a 48-hour dry anaerobic fermentation. The blackberries build the compote character, the wine yeast unlocks the tannic acids. Washed, dried for ten days, then precision roasted.

Taste it and you'll see why it's one of a kind: blackberry compote up front, burnt sugar sweetness, and a mouthfeel that drinks closer to pinot noir than coffee.

  • Producer: Jairo Arcila
  • Origin: Colombia, Armenia, Quindío
  • Farm: Santa Monica
  • Altitude: 1500 masl
  • Variety: Castillo
  • Process: Blackberry and wine yeast co-fermentation, dry anaerobic 48hr, washed

Set the kit up, brew Purple Rain first, and see what pour over is actually capable of.

Good coffee tastes better when you know who it's from

90% of coffee is traded on price alone, set by people with no connection to those who grow it. We don't think that's good enough. Direct trade means paying well above the commodity rate, building long-term relationships with the same Ugandan communities since 2018, and funding growers through the off-season. Every bag has helped provide water tanks and cover medical support for Ugandan families. Direct trade isn't a marketing line, it's the reason Mt Atkinson exists.
