The Single Origin Subscription

Having fun experimenting with an aeropress. The smell from grinding this coffee is amazing and the flavour really delivers on the chocolate. A pleasant surprise as I normally produce pretty bitter cups of coffees when chocolate's listed in the flavour notes. This one is not at all bitter and has a long lasting taste for me.

Love getting my coffee delivered, knowing that I am supporting a good cause and getting a treat every once in a while.

Instead of the Ethiopian Guji that was labeled as this months single origin coffee, I was sent the Nicaraguan Segovia. The origin is not the problem, but the Nicaragua was a darker roast than even some espresso blends I have which I was not expecting as a single origin designed for pour over. I was hoping to enjoy with a v60 but it was darker than my taste preference for filter coffee. I would’ve loved to stick with the single origin subscription as I love the work you guys are doing in growing countries, and maybe some other SO’s are lighter roasted for this purpose, but I will not be continuing my subscription
