Someone said that decaf drinkers are the true coffee lovers because we drink it purely for the flavour.
I switched to making decaf from fresh ground beans and tried a range of whole beans from different coffee providers in NZ. I've found Mt Atkinsons's Decaf Colombian Popayan as the most satisfying flavour decaf coffee.
After grinding the beans, I use an Aeropress, and find that Popayan coffee is tolerant to a range of temperatures - for me around 87C, 2mins steep works best.
To me, Popayan is the best decaf coffee in NZ.
