Roasted weekly, our decaf beans will always reach you fresh and ready to brew into a tasty hot beverage.

The Sugar Cane Decaffeination process extracts caffein while leaving most of flavour components. The coffee beans are moistened with water and EA is circulated throughout. After the desired caffeine level is reached, the EA residue on the beans is removed by steaming them.

Tasting notes: Dried plum, Dark Chocolate.

And of course, no caffeine.

Best Decaf in NZ

Someone said that decaf drinkers are the true coffee lovers because we drink it purely for the flavour.
I switched to making decaf from fresh ground beans and tried a range of whole beans from different coffee providers in NZ. I've found Mt Atkinsons's Decaf Colombian Popayan as the most satisfying flavour decaf coffee.
After grinding the beans, I use an Aeropress, and find that Popayan coffee is tolerant to a range of temperatures - for me around 87C, 2mins steep works best.
To me, Popayan is the best decaf coffee in NZ.
